Abstract
Hypertension is a disease that most suffers by the community to cause death and hypertension is ranked third after ARI and dyspepsia in Kupang City. Treatment of hypertension requires a long time and control so that during treatment it has an impact on treatment costs. The purpose of this study was to determine which drug was the most cost effective using ACER calculations in hypertensive patients at Prof. Hospital. Dr. W.Z Johannes Kupang in 2020. In this study, we used the method of cost-effectiveness analysis (CEA). This is data obtained retroactively from medical records and patient invoices, comparing the effectiveness of the treatment with the cost. Costs are calculated from the hospital's point of view for direct costs such as drug costs, diagnostic costs, testing costs, and consumables costs. The results showed the effectiveness of therapy and the ACER value obtained from 76 hypertensive patients was the amlodipin-captopril combination, namely the ACER value of Rp.1.802.269,283 and the amlodipin-captopril combination of Rp.1.419.532,676. In conclusion, the combination of amlodipin-captopril is more cost effective than other treatment groups.
