Abstract
Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) is a condition in the urine that contains microorganisms in large numbers and can cause urinary tract infections. Antibiotics or antimicrobials are the drug of choice for UTI. The purpose of this study was to determine the type of antibiotic used and the rationality of antibiotics used the Gyssens methode use of patients urinary tract infection in RSUD Ibu Fatmawati Sukarno 2020. The research method used is descriptive method, data collection is done retrospectively. The population in this study were all UTI patients at the Inpatient Unit in RSUD Ibu Fatmawati Sukarno 2020. The sample in this study was UTI patients who were given antibiotics at the Inpatient Unit RSUD Ibu Sukarno 2020 which were seen from medical records and met the inclusion criteria. The results of the study on UTI patients at the Inpatient Unit in RSUD Ibu Fatmawati Sukarno period 2020 showed that the most frequently used antibiotics were cefotaxime 73%, ceftriaxone 16%, levofloxacin 5%, meropenem 3%, anbacim 3%. Evaluation of the use of antibiotics based on the Gyssens route obtained category 0 was 89%, category II A was 8%, category IV C was 3%.
