Abstract
Burns are injuries that are very easy to happen in everyday life. Burns are caused by a heat source that is in direct contact with the skin. The prevalence of burns in Indonesia is 0.7% according to Riskesdas 2013. In 2018 the prevalence was 1.3%, an increase of 0.6%. One of the natural ingredients that have the potential to heal burns is hibiscus leaf extract. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of wound healing, the most effective concentration, and to determine the physical quality and stability of the cream preparations made. Hibiscus leaf extract can be made in the form of a cream dosage form. This research will use the hibiscus leaf plant which is extracted and then made cream preparations at concentrations of 5%, 10%, and 15%. This preparation will be tested on White Rabbits who are treated with burns. There were 3 treatment groups, namely positive control group, negative control group, and treatment group. The data obtained were then analyzed statistically using SPSS and continued using one way anova to see whether the cream made was normally distributed or not, abnormal data was found, then continued using the post hoc test. With a significance degree of p < 0.05. The results showed that hibiscus leaf has wound healing activity with the most effective concentration of 15% in Formula 3, hibiscus leaf cream has a good physical quality test, variations in extract concentration have an effect on the stability test of the cream preparation.
