Abstract
Burns are injuries that occur by direct contact with sunlight, fire, electricity, chemicals, and radiation from one of the properties that can conduct heat. Burns cause skin damage and can affect all body systems. In soursop leaves there are various types of active phytochemical compounds, namely alkaloids, saponins, tannins, and flavonoids. Flavonoids, saponins, and tannins are thought to be effective for wound healing. Extraction in this study used the maceration method. The soursop leaf extract obtained was formulated in the form of an ointment with various concentrations of 15%, 20%, and 25%. The preparations were tested for physical quality including organoleptic tests, homogeneity tests, viscosity tests, dispersibility tests, adhesion tests, pH tests, and stability tests. The results of the physical quality of the ointment preparations were analyzed by SPSS statistical test using the one way ANOVA test which was seen for normality and homogeneity which was then followed by the Post hoc test. The wound healing effectiveness test was carried out on rabbit back burns and was tested using the SPSS one way ANOVA statistical test. The results showed that soursop leaf ethanol extract ointment had good physical quality and had burn healing activity in rabbits. The most effective burn healing activity was found in formula 3 with a concentration of 25%. Keywords: Soursop Leaf (Annona muricata L.), Burns, New Zealand Rabbit
