Abstract

Congestive heart failure is one of the health problems in the cardiovascular system and has a growing prevalence in Indonesia. The incidence of heart disease in Indonesia is 1,5%. Drug therapy can be considered effective when the patient obtains effective and appropriate medications and doses. The purpose of this study is to find out the evaluation of the accuracy of drug selection and dosage on the treatment of congestive heart failure patients at outpatient installation of Karanganyar hospital in 2021 The study included non-experimental research using cross sectional methods. Prospective data collection using the criteria of patients aged ≥ 45 years, patients in the main diagnosis of congestive heart failure with or without accompanying diseases. The data analysis was conducted based on the PERKI (2020), European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Guidelines literature, Dipiro (2017), Monthly Index of Medical Specialties (MIMS) using Microsoft excel program. The results showed that the accuracy of the selection of drugs of patients with congestive heart failure in the Outpatient Installation of Karanganyar Hospital in 2021 was 82 cases (94.25%) and the inaccuracy of drug selection as many as 5 cases (5.75%). The accuracy of the dose of congestive heart failure patients in the Outpatient Installation of Karanganyar Hospital in 2021 is 78 cases (89.66%) and inaccuracy of doses as many as 9 cases (10.34%) with the category of doses too high as 5 cases (55.56%) and too low doses as many as 4 cases (44.44%).
