Abstract
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a disease that causes 60% of deaths in Indonesia in 2019. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the prevalence of COPD in Indonesia will increase by 2020. COPD patients will undergo long-term treatment with either single or combination therapy and accompanied by treatment for comorbidities, so it is necessary to monitor therapy in the selection of drugs and doses. The purpose of this study was to determine the accuracy of drug and dose selection in COPD patients at the Outpatient Installation of RS Medika Mulya Wonogiri in 2020. This study used a cross sectional method with retrospective data collection. Data analysis was carried out descriptively based on the literature of the Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD), the Indonesian Lung Doctors Association, Dipiro (2015), British National Formulary (2011), and the Monthly Index of Medical Specialties (MIMS) which were processed using Microsoft Excel and presented in the form of tables, percentages and descriptions. The results of the research that have been carried out are obtained samples that match the inclusion criteria, namely 93 samples. The accuracy of drug selection in COPD patients is 99.8%. The inaccuracy of drug selection is 0.2%. The accuracy of the dose in COPD patients is 97.9%. The inaccuracy of the dose was 2.1% with the low dose category of 100.0%, while the high dose was not found in this study. Keywords: Accuracy of Drug Selection, Low Dose, High Dose, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
