Abstract

Hypertension is a major problem in global health that requires appropriate treatment. Hypertension is also one of the major risk factors for kidney failure. Lifestyle and dietary factors can also increase the case of hypertension. For that we need descriptive research. This study aims to determine the description of the use of antihypertensive drugs in patients with chronic renal failure with hypertension and compared compliance with Hospital Formulary and JNC VIII. This research is a descriptive study with retrospective data collection. The sample of this study was all antihypertensive drugs used by patients with chronic renal failure at Inpatient Installation in Jombang District Hospital in 2015. Sampling technique using purposive sampling method. The results showed that the antihypertensive drugs with chronic renal failure used in 2015 included Amlodipine, Bisoprolol, Captopril, Furosemid, Irbesartan, Nifedipin, Valsartan and the most widely used drugs were Furosemide. Diuretics are the most commonly used drug classes and the use of antihypertensive drugs with chronic renal failure based on JNC VIII (71,43%) and based on FRS (100%).
