Abstract

Esomeprazole is a gastritis drug that is often used together with antacids or singly, these drugs have an expensive price, it is necessary to do research to see the effectiveness of esomeprazole compared to the previous generation, namely lansoprazole which has a relatively cheaper price. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Lansoprazole and Antacids and Esomeprazole and Antacids on the Quality of Life of Gastritis Patients at Amanah Medika Clinic, Kalioso. This type of research uses a descriptive method with a cross sectional study approach. Data analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate. This study was conducted at the Amanah Medika clinic with a sample of 53 respondents according to the inclusion criteria, which were divided into two groups receiving lansoprazole and antacid drugs as well as esomeprazole and antacid drugs. Based on the results of this study proves that there is no significant difference between the use of lansoprazole and antacids and esomeprazole and antacids in the physical, psychological, social and environmental domains, it can be seen from the results of statistical tests on SPSS obtained p-value (0.983) value of (0.05) in the physical domain, p-value (0.365) (0.05) in the psychological domain, p-value (0.475) value (0.05) in the social domain, the value of p-value (0.462) (0.05) in the environmental domain.
