Abstract
PT. Dua Naga Kosmetindo is a company engaged in cosmetic tolling. One of the problems faced by the company is defects and product delays in the packaging process. The purpose of this research is to design a work system improvement in the packaging process. The research method used is macro ergonomics analysis and desaign (MEAD). MEAD method is used to analyze the overall problem in the packaging process. The results of this study obtained several variants in the work system, among others, machines often experience damage, there is no regular machine maintenance, workspaces lack lighting, air temperature in the room is hot, lack of personal protective equipment, the company does not control the use of personal protective equipment, work fatigue, and limited rest time. The recommended improvement recommendation is to recruit a mechanic who is responsible for maintaining machinery and equipment, adding personal protective equipment, adding air conditioning, and adding lights Keywords : Macro Ergonomics Analysis and Design, Work system improvement, Work system.
