Abstract
Hypertension is a state of increase in systolic blood pressure ≥140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure ≥ 90 mmHg . Hypertensive disease occupies the largest proportion of 68.6% of all non-communicable diseases in Central Java. The network pharmacology approach is used to uncover the interaction of pharmacological networks in the treatment of hypertension. The purpose of this study was to analyze compounds in celery plants that are predicted to interact with target proteins that form the pharmacological network of hypertension treatment. The research began with the collection of chemical content data using the IJAH Analytics and KNApSAck web servers. Meanwhile, the target proteins involved in the pathophysiology of hypertension were obtained from the KEGG pathway and research journals. The target protein validated with Uniprot is then identified as its target protein-protein interaction via String. Data collection of celery compounds that have bioactivity was carried out on PubChem, then the prediction of antihypertensive target proteins was carried out through the Swiss Target Prediction web server. The data of the target compounds and proteins obtained are downloaded in CSV and TSV formats and compiled in excel. Data were analyzed using Cytoscape to visualize pharmacological networks in hypertension therapy. Network pharmacology visualization showed that the predicted proteins that were target compounds in celery plants as antihypertensives, namely ACE2, CTSG, LNPEP, MME, PRCP, and ANPEP. Apigenin, caffeic acid, luteolin, kaempferol, 3-n butylphthalide, and bergapten correlated with hypertensive target proteins corresponding to the KEGG pathway of the renin-angiotensin system.
