Abstract

Pneumonia is one form of acute lower duct infection that causes acute parenchymal inflammation of the lungs and exudate blackouts in lung tissue. The purpose of this study to determine the pattern of antibiotik use in patients with pediatric pediatrics at Inpatient Installation RSUD Surakarta in 2016 and the suitability of the pattern of antibiotik use of Hospital Formulary. This research uses descriptive method that is non-experimental. Retrospectively that is by way of observation on data that already exist before. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, from medical record data of patients who meet the criteria. The results of the study showed that the most widely used antibiotik for pediatric pneumonia patients in RSUD Kota Surakarta 2016 for single antibiotik was ampisillin (41,30%), cefotaxime (36,96%), ceftriaxon (13,04%), gentamicin (4,36%), cefixime (2,17%), ceftazidime (2,17%) and combination antibiotik was ampisillin and gentamicin (64,36%), cefotaxime and gentamicin (33,66%), ceftazidime and gentamicin (0,99%), cefotaxime and ampisillin (0,99%). The use of antibiotiks in patients with pediatric pediatrics in RSUD Surakarta is in accordance with Formulary RSUD Surakarta (100%). Keywords: Antibiotiks, Pneumonia, Pediatrics
