Abstract
Upper respiratory tract infection is one of the major health problems in the world, this infection is a common disease occurring in people who are one of the leading causes of death. This study aims to analyze the use of antibiotics in patients with respiratory tract infections of inpatients in RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta 2016. This research uses descriptive method and retrospective data retrieval. The data used are secondary data obtained from medical records of patients with upper respiratory tract infections. Data obtained then compared Guidline Pharmaceutical Care and Pharmacoterapy ( principles & practice ) 2008. The result of research on the use of antibiotic analysis in patients with respiratory tract infections of inpatients in RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta 2016 the most widely used is amoxicillin by 50%. while the analysis of conformity of antibiotic use with Guidline Pharmaceutical Care right indication 100% right drug 83,34 right dose 83,34 right patient 100%. Whereas with Pharmacoterapy ( principles & practice ) 2008 right indication 100% right drug 75,01 right dose 75,01 right patient 100%.
