D4 Health Analyst Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, Setia Budi University Surakarta. Human Immunodeficiency Virus is a virus that attacks the immune system which can weaken the body's ability to fight infection and is also a major cause of morbidity. HIV/AIDS has developed into one of the major and important health and social problems worldwide. Statistical data from the Ministry of Health of Timor-Leste states that in Timor-Leste HIV-infected patients reached 10,464 cases and the city of Dili was ranked first for the city most at risk of HIV/AIDS. The process of anemia in HIV infection can be generally classified as related to inefficient hematopoiesis. This condition is influenced by several factors, such as malnutrition, the presence of additional infections, neoplasms and decreased erythropoietin production, as well as the use of chemotherapy drugs, antiretrovirals. This study aims to determine the difference in hemoglobin levels in HIV-infected patients before treatment and after treatment at Guido Valadares Hospital. This study used an observational analytic research design with a cross sectional approach. This research was conducted from April to June 2023 at the Dili Health Laboratory. A total of 44 patient from the examination of hemoglobin levels before treatment and after treatment data are medical record data for patients who conduct examinations at Guido Valadares Hospital Dili. The data obtained will be tested for normality using Shapiro Wilk and the results will be tested using Paired t-test. The results of statistical analysis that have been carried out found that the paired sample t test value obtained a significance value of <0.001 which is lower than (p<0.05) So it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between hemoglobin levels before treatment and after treatment.
