Abstract

Lenggu, V. S. B. 2023. Correlation of Total Cholesterol and LDL Cholesterol levels with eGFR Values in Prolanis Hypertension Patients. Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology, Health Sciences Faculty, Setia Budi University. Hypertension is still a disease that always receives attention in the world. Hypertension is often associated with chronic kidney disease, characterized by increased levels of total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol. Estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) is one of the tests to measure the level of kidney function. The degree of decrease in GFR levels indicates the severity of kidney damage. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels with the eGFR values of hypertensive prolanis patients. Observational analytic with a cross-sectional research design based on secondary data from medical records at the Laboratorium Kesehatan Kabupaten Semarang. The study population was prolanis hypertension patients. The study sample was patients with a diagnosis of hypertension at the Laboratorium Kesehatan Kabupaten Semarang in January-March 2023, with a sample size of 127 samples. Data were tested for normality using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and data analysis using the Pearson correlation test with a significant p-value <0,05. The results of the Pearson correlation test between total cholesterol levels and the eGFR value obtained a p-value 0,909 and results of the correlation test of LDL cholesterol levels with the eGFR value of hypertensive prolanis patients obtained a p-value 0,371. Conclution, there is no correlation between total cholesterol levels and eGFR value of hypertensive prolanis patients, and there is no correlation between LDL cholesterol levels and eGFR values in hypertensive prolanis patients.
