Abstract

Fenomena pernikahan adat Lembah Baliem yang terjadi pada remaja Suku Dani di wamena dihadapkan oleh adanya pembagian peran yang tidak adil antara suami dan istri, pernikahan yang didasari atas sebuah paksaan pasti akan mengakibatkan sebuah kekecewaan dan ketidakharmonisan yang mana itu bukan menjadi keinginan pribadi yang muncul dari dalam diri perempuan yang dipaksa untuk menikah. Dalam hal ini penerimaan diri sangat diperlukan agar kemampuan individu untuk menerima keseluruhan yang ada dalam dirinya berupa anggapan apakah dirinya sudah bertindak secara benar agar seseorang dapat dikatakan mampu melakukan penerimaan diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran terjadinya penerimaan diri dan faktor yang mempengaruhi penerimaan diri pada remaja putri suku dani yang menjalani pernikahan adat Lembah Baliem, serta proses penerimaan diri yang dilewati remaja putri suku dani yang menjalani pernikahan adat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif pendekatan study kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan observasi sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Informan dalam penelitian ini 3 (tiga) remaja yang menjalani pernikahan adat Lembah Baliem, dengan pertimbangan representatif untuk mewakili jumlah data penelitian kualitatif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa setiap informan memiliki tahapan proses masing-masing untuk dapat mencapai penerimaan dirinya. Ketiga informan sama-sama menunjukan penerimaan diri ketika mereka memiliki sumber dukungan internal maupun eksternal dalam hidup mereka, seperti keluarga dan orang disekitar mereka. Mengalami pernikahan paksa dengan kepala suku dapat mereka lewati karena mereka percaya bahwa rencana Tuhan adalah yang terbaik, menjalani hidup dengan baik dengan tidak berlarut-larut dalam masalah. In this case, self-acceptance is very necessary so that the individual's ability to accept everything that is within him takes the form of an opinion as to whether he has acted correctly so that a person can be said to be capable of self-acceptance. This research aims to determine the description of self acceptance and the factors that influence self-acceptance in Dani tribal young women who undergo traditional marriages in the Baliem Valley, as well as the resilience process that Dani tribal young women who undergo traditional marriages go through. The research method used in this research is a qualitative case study approach. Data was collected through interviews and observation as data collection tools. The informants in this study were 3 (three) teenagers who underwent traditional marriages in the Baliem Valley, with representative considerations to represent the amount of qualitative research data. The results of the analysis show that each informant has their own process stages to achieve self-acceptance. The three informants both showed self-acceptance when they had internal and external sources of support in their lives, such as their family and friends. They were able to get through a forced marriage with the tribal chief because they believed that God's plan was the best, to live a good life without getting into trouble.
