Abstract
KTERI Staphylococcus aureus DENGAN METODE DIFUSI SUMURAN, KARYA TULIS ILMIAH, PROGRAM STUDI D-III ANALIS FARMASI DAN MAKANAN, FAKULTAS FARMASI, UNIVERSITAS SETIA BUDI. Dibimbing oleh apt. Anita Nilawati, S.Farm., M.Farm. Jerawat merupakan peradangan pada lapisan pilosebaseus disertai dengan penyumbatan bahan keratin yang disebabkan oleh bakteri Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, dan Propionibacterium acnes. Produk gel klindamisin 1% yang dijual dan dipasarkan menyatakan memiliki aktivitas antibakteri sebagai obat jerawat yang tertera pada kemasannya dan diperlukan pembuktian untuk melindungi konsumen dari produk yang tidak memenuhi standar mutu sediaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui mutu fisik dan membandingkan aktivitas antibakteri gel klindamisin 1% khususnya terhadap bakteri S.aureus. Penelitian ini menggunakan 3 sampel produk gel klindamisin 1% merek X, Y, dan Z yang mencantumkan klaim sebagai obat jerawat. Sampel dilakukan pengujian mutu fisik yang meliputi uji organoleptis, homogenitas, pH, daya sebar, daya lekat, dan viskositas. Aktivitas antibakteri dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode difusi sumuran. Analisis data menggunakan SPSS dengan nilai signifikan (p>0,05). Hasil pengujian mutu fisik pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sampel memenuhi kriteria mutu fisik sediaan gel yang baik yaitu seluruh produk homogen, memenuhi rentang persyaratan pH kulit, memiliki daya sebar, daya lekat, dan viskositas yang baik. Ketiga sampel produk gel klindamisin merek X, Y, dan Z, memiliki aktivitas antibakteri terhadap S.aureus yang diuji menggunakan metode difusi sumuran dengan diameter sebesar 48,67 mm ; 44,67 mm ; dan 45,33 mm. Supervised by apt. Anita Nilawati, S.Farm., M.Farm. Acne is an inflammation of the pilosebaceous layer accompanied by blockage of keratin material caused by Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, and Propionibacterium acnes bacteria. The 1% clindamycin gel product sold and marketed states that it has antibacterial activity as an acne medication as stated on its packaging and proof is needed to protect consumers from products that do not meet the quality standards of the preparation. This research aims to determine the physical quality and compare antibacterial activity of 1% clindamycin gel especially against S.aureus bacteria. This research used 3 samples of 1% clindamycin gel products of brands X, Y, and Z which included claims as acne medication. Samples were subjected to physical quality testing including organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, spreadability, adhesion, and viscosity tests. Antibacterial activity was carried out using the well diffusion method. Data analysis used SPSS with a significant value (p>0.05). The results of physical quality testing in this study showed that the samples met the criteria for good physical quality of gel preparations, namely all products were homogeneous, met the range of skin pH requirements, had good spreadability, adhesion, and viscosity. The three samples of clindamycin gel products, brands X, Y, and Z, had antibacterial activity against S.aureus which was tested using the well diffusion method with a diameter of 48,67 mm; 44,67 mm; and 45,33 mm.
