Abstract

Hypertension is blood pressure where the systolic pressure is more than 140 mmHg and diastolic pressure is more than 90 mmHg in two measurements with minute intervals in a calm state. This study aims to determine the pattern of antihypertensive drug use in hypertensive patients in Inpatient Installation RSUD dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro in 2017. This research uses descriptive method and the way of sampling is done by purposive sampling. The data were taken from 50 patients consisting of 16 male patients and 34 female patients at Inpatient Installation of RSUD dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro in 2017. Data were taken from medical records and comparing data obtained with hospital formularies and standard joint committee on prevention, detection, evaluation, and treatments on high blood pressure VII. The results showed that antihypertensives were used amlodipine, captopril, lisinopril, ramipril, furosemide, spironolacton, candesartan and valsartan.With the highest amount of drug use was amlodipine by 56%. The use of antihypertensives in hypertensive patients in the Inpatient Installation of RSUD dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro in 2017 complies with hospital formulary 100% and conformity with JNC VII of 82%.
