Abstract

Drug management is one of important stage in health department, bad management can cause negative result toward quality service. This research is aimed to know drug management in Surakarta’s public helath service based on Kemenkes RI standart with the result can be used as a basis evaluation to increase service quality. This study is a non-experimental research with descriptive research method. Data were secondary data and collected retrospectively in Pharmacy Departement of Surakarta’s public helath service. Secondary data were obtained by searching documents in 2015. Data were collected based on indicators availability of the drug as needed, procurement of essential drug, procurement of generic drug, drug available item compared to DOEN and planning accuracy. The data obtained are used to analyze according to Kemenkes RI standart. The result showed that the drug management of planning and procurement in Pharmacy Departement of Surakarta’s public helath service is the availability of the drug as needed (102.84%), procurement of essential drug (86.87%), procurement of generic drug (100%), drug available item compared to DOEN (60.22%) and planning accuracy (88.94%). The planning and procurement of drugs in Pharmacy Departement of Surakarta’s public helath service has not been in accordance with Kemenkes RI standart.
