Abstract
Hypertension is one of the major risk factors of cardiovascular and kidney diseases whose prevalence increases every year. Hypertension requires treatment in the long term so that the risk of Drug Related Problems (DRPs) is an undesirable event in the treatment which may affect the outcome of therapy in the patients. This study was conducted to find out the Drug Related Problems (DRPs) which occur in the primary hypertensive patients in RSUD Ir. Soekarno Sukoharjo. The type of research was descriptive by using retrospective data collection. The data collection of 51 patients was suitable with the inclusion criteria in the medical record of RSUD Ir. Soekarno Sukoharjo in 2017. The results showed that the most hypertensive patients were female patients and patients in the age range 56 to 65 years old. Of the 51 patients, there were 11 patients who had the potential DRPs. The most incidence rate of DRPs is high doses of drugs (45,5%), ineffective drugs (27,3%), indication without theraphy (18,2%), therapy without indications (9,1%), and low doses of drugs 0%.
