Abstract

Hypertension is a major health problem most frequently found in Indonesia. This disease can cause various complications, including renal failure. This study aims to determine the use of antihypertensive in hypertensive with chronic renal failure (ICD I12.0) inpatients in RSD Mardi Waluyo Blitar during 2011 and 2012 and compliance with the JNC 7 and the Hospital Formulary. This research was quantitative descriptive with retrospective data collection from medical records in 2011 and 2012. Antihypertensive drugs quantity was computed using the ATC/DDD. Entire data then processed to determine the quantity of antihypertensive drugs usage in DDD/100 unit inpatient day and profile DU 90%. The utilization data was evaluation for the conformity with JNC 7 and hospital formulary. The results showed that the antihypertensive drugs usage in RSD Mardi Waluyo Blitar during 2011 and 2012 were captopril, lisinopril, amlodipin, nifedipin, bisoprolol, valsartan, furosemid dan hydrochlorotiazide. Use of antihypertensive drugs did not change. From the DU90% table, drugs which include in the DU90% segment in 2011 were furosemid, captopril, amlodipin, lisinopril, valsartan and in 2012 were furosemid, amlodipin, captopril and valsartan. The use of antihypertensive drugs was 100% in accordance with JNC 7 and FRS. Keywords: antihypertensive drugs, ATC/DDD, DU90%
