Abstract

Working in a laboratory has a risk of being exposed to chemicals or infectious material, to minimize the risk a requirement is made for officers to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Compliance of workers in using PPE is very important to reduce the risk of illness or accidents due to work. Attitude and Knowledge of factors that influence compliance with the use of PPE. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of attitudes and knowledge on adherence to implementing personal protective equipment SOPs by laboratory personnel at RSUD Dr. Moewardi. The cross sectional study was conducted with subjects of laboratory personnel at Dr. Moewardi in 2019. This study used a survey method with samples used for the questionnaire trial of 30 respondents and 57 samples to be studied. The sampling technique used is total sampling. Analysis of the data used in the form of a validity and reliability test, a simple regression test. Data were analyzed using the SPSS program method. The results showed that the attitude and knowledge variables were partially influential. While simultaneous effect on compliance implementing SOP of personal protective equipment by laboratory personnel. Determination test results are 55.2% variable attitude and knowledge.
