Abstract

The importance of quality service in health service is to satisfy patients need and expectation. Laboratory has to accurately determine customer needs as an effort to fulfill the expectation and increase the satisfaction of the services provided. This research aimed to evaluate clinical pathology laboratory service for outpatient at Prof. Dr. R. Soeharso Orthopedic Hospital Surakarta. This research is a descriptive survey research conducted in Prof. Dr. R. Soeharso Orthopedic Hospital Surakarta applying non probability sampling technique by purposive sampling, using questioner involving samples of 200 respondents. Data obtained were processed using Ministry of Health Minimum Service Standard for Hospital 2012. The results of this research indicated that the turnaround time of laboratory service result, the absence of mislabeling error of laboratory test specimens, the implementation of expertise of the laboratory test result, the absence of misreporting error of laboratory test results, and service satisfaction in Prof. Dr. R. Soeharso Orthopedic Hospital Surakarta fulfill the requirements of Ministry of Health Minimum Service Standard for Hospital 2012.
