Abstract

Improving students work readiness is not a simple thing to do. The effort sometimes cause feeling of distress for students themselves. College students who are actively involved in organizations can improve their work readiness by performing organizations activities to get experiences. This research aimed to determine the effect of student active involvement in organizations to work readiness of students of Health Science Faculty, Setia Budi University Surakarta. Sampling technique applied in this research was purposive sampling, involving 100 students of Health Science Faculty, Setia Budi University Surakarta who are actively involved in organizational activities. Data were gained using questionnaire method. Analysis method applied quantitative analysis and measured using simple linear regression analysis SPSS version 21 for windows. The results of study indicate that variable of active involvement in organizations has significant effect to students work readiness determined by obtained value of t is 10.772 with significance level p = 0.000 (<0.05). The results of coefficient of determination indicate that 54.2% of students work readiness is determined by active involvement in organizations, while 45.2% is determined by other factors.
