Abstract
This study aims to examine organizational culture in mediating the effect of transformational leadership on TQM (Total quality management). Good transformational leadership will encourage the creation of a good organizational culture so that it will make employees will work better according to predetermined targets and improve employee performance. Data obtained through questionnaires distributed to employees at the Dr. Arif Zainudin Surakarta. The sampling technique used is cluster sampling with a population of medical and non-medical employees as many as 80 respondents. Hypothesis testing is done using multilevel regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that transformational leadership has a significant effect on hospital TQM, transformational leadership has a significant effect on hospital organizational culture, organizational culture has a significant effect on TQM and organizational culture as mediating transformational leadership of hospital TQM. This means that the organizational culture is proven to be a partial mediation of the relationship between transformational leadership and TQM.
