Abstract

Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) is the ability that students have in managing strategies in the learning process, having confidence in themselves, and being able to control the environment in order to support the learning process and achieve the learning goals that they want to get. Students are expected to have good self-regulated learning, but the school environment also has an important role in the learning process of students. The learning process carried out is inseparable from educational programs or educational services provided by educational institutions to all boarding school students and non-boarding school students at MAN 1 Surakarata. This study aims to determine whether there are differences in self-regulated learning of boarding school students and non-boarding school students in MAN 1 Surakarta. The sampling technique in this study was a cluster sampling. The subjects in this study consisted of 62 boarding school students and 68 non-boarding school students. This study uses a measuring instrument in the form of a scale, which is the scale of self-regulated learning. The hypothesis proposed is the difference between boarding school students and non-boarding school students. The data analysis method used in this study was the Independent Sample T-Test method with the help of SPSS 23.0 for widows release and obtained a significance value of 0,29 with p > 0,05. This proved that the hypothesis of this study was rejected. Wich means there is no significant difference in self-regulated learning between boarding school students and non-boarding school students. This is influenced by the exis tence of a full day program and the involvement of parents in school. Keywords: Self-Regulated Learning, Boarding School Students, Non-Boarding School Students
