Abstract

Micellar water is a popular facial cleanser because practically used for clean the face from dirt, oil, makeup also has the ability to moisturize. Grape seed oil contains antioxidant, and fatty acid such as linoleic, oleic, palmitic, stearic, alfa-linolenic, palmitoleic acid, vitamin E, C and D. It is used as a moisturizer that can hydrate the skin and repair it from damage, wrinkles around the eyes, and stretch marks. The purpose of this study is to make micellar based water of grape seed oil with ratio variations concentration of PEG-7 glyceril cocoate as a surfactant, so it will produce the good micellar based water. Micellar based water of grape seed oil is made from oil in water emulsion method by mixing. PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate concentration variety that is used on the micellar based water of grape seed oil making, formula I (1,65%), formula II (2,15%), and formula III (2,65%). The micellar based water of grape seed oil physical quality testing covers: organoleptic, pH, viscosity and stability testing. The result of the study of the study shows that PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate concentration variety as a surfactant affects to micellar based water of grape seed oil stability. Formula III with PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate (2,65%) concentration has the best physical quality. Keywords: micellar based water, grape seed oil, PEG-7 Glyceryl cocoate, micellar based physical quality
