Abstract

Avocado plants (Persea americana, Mill) contain flavonoid, saponin, tannin, and alkaloid that play an active role in the antihypertensive and antidiabetic mechanisms. This literature review aims to determine the antihypertensive and antidiabetic activity of avocado plants. This literature review was carried out by selecting topics, data collection, data evaluation, data analysis and interpretation and data synthesis. The data sources used were international journals such as Elsevier, Science Direct, Pubmed and national journals published between 2010 and 2020 using 16 journals selected according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results of a literature review on journal-journals related to activity test show that the avocado plant has antihypertensive and antidiabetic activity.
