Abstract
PT. Delta Merlin Sandang Tekstil (DMST) 1 is a textile company. This study aims to determine the working system and provide recommendations for improvement in the packaging section. This study uses a total ergonomics approach. For this reason, it is necessary to measure the physical work environment, measure physical workload, measure muscle complaints and measure work posture using the REBA method. The results of this study that the level of light intensity and temperature in the packing area still does not meet the standards of the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No. 1405/Menkes/SK/XI/2002. Physical workload is 31.78% for Cardiovascular Load and energy consumption is 2.26 Kcal/minute and is classified as light work but needs to be improved. Measurement of muscle complaints using the Nordic Body Map questionnaire found that there were 9 complaints of pain category and 3 complaints of very sick category. Assessment of work posture using the REBA method produces a score of 5 which is included in the medium level category and needs to be taken corrective action. To overcome the problem, recommendations for improving the work system in the packing section are needed, namely installing 3 lights with 15 Watts each in the packing area, presents 1 exhaust fan with 600 CMH specifications, apply short breaks and energy intake given at 09.30 for 15 minutes and at 14.00 for 10 minutes, designing ergonomic tables and chairs appropriately. based on Indonesian anthropometric data.
