Abstract

Self-medication is choosing a drug and using medicine for everyone as a cure from a disease that is felt or known by using it without a prescription from a doctor or with medicine. Over The Counter (OTC). The purpose of this study was to determine the patient's level of knowledge, to determine the use of drugs in patients with fever and to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and rationality of fever self-medication at pharmacy X, Sukoharjo District in 2021. Rational use of drugs is accuracy in choosing and using drugs according to the disease. Based on the right criteria for drug selection, right dose, right indication and alert for side effects. This type of research is a type of descriptive research using a design approach Cross Sectional Survey. The sampling technique in this study is the method Consecutive Sampling. The sample in this study were respondents aged 17-59 years who did self-medication of fever-on-fever symptoms which were included in the inclusion criteria. The test used is the test Chi Square with the SPSS version 25 application. Based on self-medication research, most of them are female, age 21-30 years old, self-employed, and high school education. This study has knowledge that knows about self-medication, and for the rationality of respondents in using irrational drugs. Test Chi Square.
