Abstract
Aditama, R.H., “Correlation Between Total Colesterol Ratio And High Density Lipoprotein With Blood Pressure In Patients At DKT Soetarto Hospital Yogyakarta”. D4 Study Program of Medical Tecnology, Health Science Faculty, Setia Budi University. The prevalence rate of increased blood pressure in developing countries like Indonesia is expected to continue to increase from year to year. Around the world around 972 million people or 26.4% of the population suffer from high blood pressure and will increase to 29.2% in 2025. The ratio of total cholesterol, HDL and LDL is an indicator of vascular risk, which has a greater predictive value than the single parameter total cholesterol, HDL, and or LDL alone. The total cholesterol/HDL ratio is calculated by dividing total cholesterol by HDL. This study aims to see the relationship between the ratio of total cholesterol and HDL to blood pressure in patients at DKT Soetarto Hospital, Yogyakarta. This research uses observational analytic with cross sectional approach. The study was conducted at DKT Soetarto Hospital Yogyakarta from January to March 2023. The objects of the study were men aged over 40 years. A total of 78 patients measured their total cholesterol, HDL and blood pressure levels. The data was processed using Chi Square analysis to see if there was a relationship between the ratio of total cholesterol and HDL to the respondent's blood pressure. Based on the statistical tests carried out, the results showed that there was a relationship between the ratio of total cholesterol and HDL to blood pressure in patients at DKT Soetarto Hospital, Yogyakarta with a p=0.000.
