Abstract

This study has the objective to provide a layout of the proposed improvements based on Systematic Layout Planning Approach at PT. Varia Usaha Beton Palur, namely analyzing data, designing and providing suggestions for improvement. The analytical method used to calculate path length includes the initial layout and interview the company's background, organizational structure, duties and responsibilities of each organizational unit, analyzes the problem at hand, the distance analysis process production services, and seek alternative plant layout is more good. Design method includes the calculation, the distance between the elbow room, preparing worksheets, ARC, AAD, ARD and determining the best layout of the proposed alternatives. Results to be achieved with the formulation of this research is the proposed new layout, and expected problems experienced by the company during the process of production services, to a distance closer, effective, and efficient, so as to increase the productivity of PT. Varia Usaha Beton Palur The conclusion from this study is that the distance of the initial layout still requires a level of closeness between space because passing is still a very wide cement warehouse then to make the process of production services with a total track length of 548.8 m, while the layout of proposals 1 and 2 are shorter with the results of 172 m and 92 m. Comparison of layout proposals 1 and 2 the largest percentage difference between the results obtained with a positive value for the proposed 2 with a value of 83.23%.
