Abstract
Antihypertensive drug is the one used to lower blood pressure and its effect can be seen from the decrease of blood pressure during the measurement. The pharmacist is required to administer drug to the patients according to the formulary specified in Kasih Ibu Hospital, Surakarta. This research aimed to find out the oral antihypertensive drug use most commonly used in Inpatient Department of Kasih Ibu Hospital, Surakarta in 2018 and to find out the compatibility of antihypertensive drug to the Formulary specified in Kasih Ibu Hospital, Surakarta. This research was conducted by observing medical record of hypertensive patients in Inpatient Department of Kasih Ibu Hospital, Surakarta in 2018. The data was analyzed using descriptive analysis method. The result of research showed that 55 (fifty five) patients used single and combined drug, to be compared with the Formulary of Hospital. The result of research showed that single drug used widely was irbesartan (3,63%) and the combined drugs most commonly used were candesartan+ ISDN (16,36%), with 100% compatibility of antihypertensive drug use to the Formulary of hospital.
