Abstract

Agoodlipglossmustbeeasytouse,non-irritating,non-sticky,not dryandcangiveshineandmoisturizethelips.Theuseofoliveoil(Oliveoil) asanemollientbecauseitcontainshighunsaturatedfatoilsothatitcan maintainlipmoistureandfacilitatetheapplicationofthelips.Reddragon fruitcontainsredpigment,anthocyaninwhichcanthenbeusedasa naturalcoloringagentinlipglosspreparations.Thepurposeofthisstudy istodeterminetheeffectofvariationsinceraalbaconcentrationon physicalqualitytestsandstabilityinthestorageofoliveoillipgloss. Theresearchmethodusedwasexperimentalnamelydragonfruit thatisstillfreshinthechoppedandthenblended,afterwhichitisfiltered andheatedtogetaslightlythickerdragonfruitjuice.Componentsusedin lipglossformulationsareoliveoil,glycerin,paraffinliquid,vaselinealbum, emulsifyingwax,BHT,nipagin,dragonfruitjuice,oliveoilandceraalba withvaryingconcentrationsof1%,3%,5%.Testscarriedoutintheform of homogeneity,organoleptic,pH,viscosity,adhesion,dispersalandstability. The results showed thatthe three formulas with cera alba concentrationof1%,3%,5%producedgoodpreparations,butforformula1 itwasmoreliquidthanformula2andformula3.Allthreeformulashada characteristicodorandobtainedthesamepHvalueforallpreparations, namely6.Thestabilityofthepreparationscolorchangesfrom purplish pinktopalepink,buttheconsistencyandodorofthepreparationare stablefor14daysofstorageatroom temperature.Variationsinthe concentration ofceraalbaaffecttheconsistencyofthepreparation, causinganincreaseinthevalueofviscosityandadhesionwhilealso affecting the decrease in the value ofdispersal.Olive oillip gloss preparationsarenotstableinroom temperaturestoragefor14daysdue toachangeincolor.
