Abstract
Academic procrastination tends to delay academic activities, one of which is thesis. Fear of failure is a condition of lack of shame and loss of self-confidence that can lead to academic procrastination. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between fear of failure and academic procrastination in students working on theses. This study uses quantitative, with the population of this study are final year students in the psychology department at Setia Budi University, the sampling technique used is total sampling, with the number of participants in this study as many as 50 people. This data was collected using an academic procrastination scale consisting of 35 items and a fear of failure scale consisting of 25 items. The analysis technique used is the producer moment correlation. The results of this study show r = 0.417 and p = 0.002 (p <0.01) which means that there is a very significant positive relationship between fear of failure and academic procrastination in students working on theses.
